Let me start by being completely transparent.
I’m a full-time Brand Marketing Manager and Creative Strategist for an awesome Marketing agency in Tampa. I dedicate a large part of my life to helping this company grow as well as our clients companies. Harvest Designs is about helping others do their own thing. As a result, we’re able to provide a hand up to a community in need of our support.
I’m not a big fan of talking about myself, but people like to know who they are working with, so let’s do this!
My name is Kim and I’ve lived in the Brandon area for roughly 18+ years. Born and raised in Florida. I’m a slightly awkward introvert who happens to love people, which is kind of an oxymoron.
Professionally speaking, I have a degree in Interactive Media & Web Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. However, everything I know was learned through trial and error both before and after earning my degree. This seems to be a common theme among college graduates!
When I’m not working full-time as a Brand Marketing Manager, I spend my free time studying it and doing freelance web design and graphic design work. I’ve been working in the industry as a freelancer for more than 12 years and I love all things design-related, so it never feels like work. There’s no better feeling than getting to do what you love for a living. You’ll see my passion in every project I complete!
Beyond that, I’m Christian and proud of the walk I began with God just a couple of years ago. I stumble along through life like everyone else, but every day I work on becoming a better version of myself than the day before.
The idea behind Harvest Designs has been on my heart for several years now and it finally felt like the right time to move forward with it. I’ve been doing freelance work during my evenings and weekends lately and it’s truly been a labor of love that I want to continue with.
When I decided to put a name on my freelance project, I did so with my community in mind. I wanted to find a way to earn more money that doesn’t just increase my personal income but increases my ability to give more. Rather than just reaping the rewards of my harvest, I wanted a way to pour into my community and plant seeds of change. I wanted the Tampa community to receive its own harvest.
We all have a purpose. Mine is doing all I can to work towards eradicating hunger in our community and beyond. I’m using my gift for web design and graphic design to help accomplish this because I believe God gave us all talents and skill sets that we can use to make a difference.
Harvest Designs is making a difference in many ways. The goal is to continue finding new ways to do more for our community. This means not only seizing the opportunity when it arises, but also creating opportunities.
Affordable Web Design
I’m able to able to help small businesses, startups and non-profits create a web presence without it costing an arm and a leg. This doesn’t mean my services are “cheap”; it just means it’s often more affordable than hiring a firm with a lot of overhead costs to consider. You get the benefit of hiring an experienced professional at a fair rate.
We donate 10% of profits from each project
Every project taken on will benefit our community as 10% of all profits will go directly to supporting Feeding Tampa Bay and River of Life Christian Center Food Pantry. As the project grows, my goal is to step it up to 20% of all profits being donated.
We’ll be doing hands-on volunteer work with Feeding Tampa Bay on a regular basis to not only help out but to ensure we always have our finger on the pulse of the community and its needs. What better way to know what’s needed than to go directly to the source?
