We often get asked why we can design websites at a lower rate than many larger companies, so let us explain:

Lower overhead costs.

As freelance designers we’re able to work from home, our favorite coffee shop or on the beach. We’re not tied to an office space and the utilities and upkeep associated with it.

We want to help grow our community.

Seeing small businesses and non-profits thriving in the Tampa Bay area only serves to help
build a stronger community. Knowing that we’re a part of that is priceless.

We’re honest about our process.

Most companies won’t tell you the truth behind their web design process, so we’re going to shed some light on it. The truth is, very few companies you work with will actually create designs from scratch. In fact, most work with a versatile base design that allows them to develop a fully-customized look for your website. This also means they make a MUCH larger profit off of you! That $5000 – $10,000 website they want to design for you? Chances are, it will actually cost them less than $1000 to build.

That’s where we come in.
We use that same base design mentioned above but lower our profit margin quite a bit. We’re a business just like you, so we clearly need to make a profit to stay afloat. We just do so at a more reasonable rate to ensure we’re financially sound and able to continue our Harvest Designs project in which we donate a portion of our profits to Feeding Tampa and the River of Life Christian Center Food Pantry.

So, what’s the cost?

While we can’t provide a set rate because each website is unique and our clients have different needs, we CAN give you a general idea of what to expect. We have to take into account the number of pages needed, the amount of content we’ll be adding, the complexity of the design, etc. On average, our clients pay between $850 – $1500. Rates may be lower or higher depending on your requests.

Here’s a REAL quote to give you an idea of cost:

  • Up to 5 Pages (Ex. Home / About / Services / Blog / Contact)
  • 1 Slider on Home Page
  • 1 Contact form
  • Up to 5 Stock Photos
  • Up to 500 words of content (provided by client) per page
  • Basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  • Submission to search engines (ex. Google)
  • Up to 1 hour of “How to” training to show you how to make basic updates
  • Up to 1 hour of post-launch support
